           Special Secretary, Development, looks after the Development Branch. Following schemes are being implemented by Development Branch:

1

Rural Health & Sanitation Scheme under Community Development Programme.
 

 Under the Scheme Community Development grant is given to each Block/Samiti for rural Development in their areas. This grant is given for execution of various development schemes under the Sub-Heads, Health & Sanitation, “Education” and “Roads & Communication” .Out of which 30% amount will be spent for the welfare of S.C’s under Special Component plan.

Construction of Harijan/Backward/General Chaupals Subsidy Scheme.  
 

 Under the scheme, repair and completion of Chaupals in under taken. 100% amount will be spent for the benefit of Scheduled Castes as Special Component Plan in the Case of Harijan Chaupals.

Construction of New Block Office Building Including Panchayats Zila Parishad Buildings and State Panchayat Bhawan.
 

 To provide Government accommodation to the offices housed in private hired building. Offices of Zila Prishad and Panchayats Samiti are constructed under this scheme.

Setting Of HIRD at Nilokheri on 50:50 Sharing Basis with Center/State.  
 

 Under this scheme, to impart training to class-I and Class-II Officers of this Department and also Officers of other Department Relating to Rural Development Program

Restructured Centrally Sponsored Rural Sanitation.
 

 The Centrally Sponsored rural Sanitation Program (CRSP) was launched in 1986. Now Government of India has reshaped this Scheme as total sanitation campaign. The programme is implemented in all the districts of the states.  Under this Program individual latrines Sanitary Complexes for Women and Toilets in School and anganwaris are constructed. Under the revised Restructured Centrally Sponsored Rural Sanitation Program a maximum of Rs. 2200/- shall be available for individual house hold latrines which could Cost Rs.2500/-. These projects are being implemented through the District, Water and sanitation committees and DRDAs .
